This 2 hour class provides an exciting overview of the proposed residential and commercial changes to the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). These changes, if  approved at the International Code Council’s Annual meeting this Fall, will significantly increase minimum efficiency levels in both residential and commercial sectors.

Learn how these changes will impact construction practices and potentially decrease residential energy consumption. This interactive class allows for questions and answers.

Instructor Eric Makela, partner in Britt/Makela Group, Inc., brings over 20 years of experience in energy efficient construction to his training sessions and has been a member of the ICC IECC Code Development Committee for the past four cycles. Topics covering energy efficient design practices, building codes, and above code programs are offered to professionals in the building, architectural, and design industries nationwide.
